The Zoo

I'll try not to comment and just let you look at the pictures from our zoo trip last weekend. :) There are quite a few of them....

I'm not sure why G-pop's making that funny face...

It was the middle of the day on Saturday when we went. Most of the animals were sleeping. I can't blame them... It was HOT!

Poor gal didn't have enough shade. It's not easy being that big!

I had my big lens on most of the time and had a hard time getting far enough away to fit all the cousins into one picture! Oh well. We're not winning any photography awards here. The kids sure are cute though.

This little monkey was grooming its little stuffed animal. So cute.

Sleepy.

One of the times Clara passed by me she had to point out the awesome puppy she was riding on. She was in "puppy" heaven at the zoo!

The scariest animal at the zoo, in my opinion....

"Teeth!"

I don't know who this boy was, but he was so cute! He sat there with all his maps and information guides, studying them very intently, cross referencing them, and periodically glancing up to see if he could see what he was studying about. The zoo is serious business.

She loved the monkeys. I think she can feel a deep connection to them. ;-)

After the zoo we got to play in the mud with my cousin.

...And then this started happening so I put the camera away. :)

Family Night

We had the Murillo family over for family night this week. I'm so happy to be in the Spanish Branch and know this family! Johnathan is in my Sunday School class. He's such a dependable, honest, and amazing young man. I can't wait to see where life takes him!

We learned about faith, played some minute to win it, ate some yummy cobbler & choco-flan (um. Delicious!) and then played in the yard while the scout leaders worked on some leadership certification. Clara liked going around barefoot, and especially liked the texture of the rocks.

Clara got thirsty and picked up the dripping hose to get a drink... What a smart girl! I'm not so sure if that's a good thing though...

I love having friends over for family night! Pretty much every night is family night with just Dennis, Clara & I at home, but having company makes it much more special. :)
